IPHONE 16 PRO MAX REPAIR

iPhone 16 Pro Max Repair in Saugus. One hour for a display.

Bring your broken 16 Pro Max to the Route 1 counter and you will leave knowing what is wrong, what it costs, and when you get it back. A display runs about an hour with the part in stock; back glass on this model is hours of bench time, so that one stays with us. Free diagnostic, no appointment.

Why this phone prices the way it does

Two things drive the number on this model, and you should hear both before we say it out loud.

The display is the largest Apple produces, and the panel is the most expensive part in the entire lineup. The work is much the same as on a smaller Pro. The part is not, which is why our quote will be higher than whatever a friend with a different iPhone paid.

And if your back is shattered while your screen came through fine, brace yourself: the back is the pricier repair on this phone. The front glass is genuinely tough and usually survives. The rear glass is fixed into the body rather than clipping off, so replacing it is hours of work. That ordering surprises nearly everybody, which is exactly why we lead with it.

Do not price your repair by eye. A free basic diagnostic gives you the real number in about 10 minutes and you can walk out with your phone owing nothing.

Dropped it and a button feels different? Tell us

The 16 Pro models carry a camera control on the right edge and an action button on the left. Both are useful, and both sit on the surfaces that take the hit when a large phone rotates on its way down, which is what large phones do because people hold them at the bottom.

The symptom is understated. A control that no longer answers a light press, or answers inconsistently, on a phone whose screen came through the fall untouched. Because there is nothing to see, owners rarely connect it to a drop from a couple of weeks back.

If that describes yours, mention the drop at the counter. It changes how we look at the phone, the diagnostic is free either way, and the controls are repairable parts rather than a reason to replace anything.

Face ID works when you get the phone back

The hardware that unlocks your phone with your face lives in the screen that broke, and moving it across to the new panel is part of the job. Done properly, your phone unlocks exactly as it always has.

The exception is one nobody can work around. If the fall destroyed that hardware, Face ID is gone for good, here and everywhere else, because Apple pairs it to your exact phone. We test yours during the free diagnostic before any money is discussed.

Two more things we cover at the counter on every current iPhone. Your phone posts a notice in Settings when a screen or battery is not an Apple part, and some display behavior can differ depending on the panel you choose. Nothing stops working, and nobody should learn about it from their own Settings app a week later.

Your data stays where it is

We do not wipe devices. Photos, messages, apps, and logins are all exactly where you left them when you collect the phone, because none of these repairs require touching them.

Your device passcode is the only thing we ask for, and it is so we can test the repair before you leave: touch across the whole screen, Face ID, every camera, charging, and audio. Your Apple account password is not needed and we will not ask.

Back up beforehand if you like. Quick to do and sensible regardless.

Timing, parts, and the screen you actually want

About an hour for a display when the part is in stock. Back glass runs into hours of bench time, so that is one to leave with us. Parts for the newest phones are the tightest and most expensive they will ever be, so if we do not have your panel you get the arrival date standing at the counter rather than a promise that somebody will call.

Our recommendation flips on a phone this new. For an older handset, the cheaper screen is the obvious call. For a 16 Pro Max we usually point people at the best panel available, because you will be carrying this phone for years and the display is the reason you paid Pro money in the first place.

Cost is the honest counterweight, and on a panel this large the gap between grades is meaningful. Quality replacement screens are good and many customers pick one without regret. Where they differ is color accuracy, readability in direct sunlight, and how the always-on display looks. We put both numbers in front of you and you make the call. Either way, our Limited Lifetime Warranty covers the part we installed and the work we did, though never a new crack from a new drop.

Everything else that comes in on this phone

  • Not charging. Swap the cable first, it costs nothing and works more often than people expect. Next is lint packed into the port, which usually clears during the free diagnostic. Real port damage is almost always leverage, not wear.
  • Battery fading. Early for this generation, but heavy users get there quickly. We read the real health figures instead of guessing from how the phone feels.
  • Foggy or flared photos. The camera array on a Max is big and sticks out, so the glass over it cracks. That is usually the whole problem, and far cheaper than a camera.
  • A camera that genuinely failed. The zoom camera on a Max is the most expensive Apple builds, which is exactly why the cheap cause gets eliminated first every single time.
  • Audio trouble. Earpiece, speaker, and microphone are individual parts and normally same-visit work.
  • Liquid. Power down, stay down, no charging, no rice. Speed to a bench is the only thing that changes the outcome.

Is repairing it the right move?

Compared with buying a new Pro Max outright, every repair on this page is cheaper by a wide margin, back glass included. So most of the time, yes, repair it.

What changes the answer: a phone carrying several serious faults at once, where the numbers stack past sense and we will say so rather than quietly quoting it. Or a phone still inside Apple's coverage, or one you carry insurance on. We handle insurance claim repairs, so bring it up at the counter and we will point you the right direction instead of taking the work by default.

If moving on turns out to be smarter, we buy devices outright including damaged ones through our buyback, and everything in pre-owned inventory is tested and warrantied. A pre-owned Pro one generation back is regularly the best value on the shelf, and pointing that out has earned us more long-term customers than any repair ticket ever did.

Walk in whenever

No appointment. Bring the phone and your passcode any day we are open, mention any drop even if it looks fine, and tell us about coverage if you have it.

The bench is out in the open in the same room as the counter, because there are no curtains around our repair tables. Locally owned and operated since 2011.

FAQ

Common questions

The camera control feels dead since I dropped it. Can you check that?

Yes, and the diagnostic is free. Those side controls sit on the edge a big phone is most likely to land on, so a fall that left no mark can still affect them. Mention the drop when you come in.

Why does this screen cost more than other iPhone screens?

It is the largest display Apple produces and the part price reflects that. The labor is similar to a smaller Pro, but the panel itself is the most expensive in the lineup.

My back glass shattered but the screen is fine. Which is worse?

The back, unfortunately. The rear glass is fixed into the body, so replacing it is a multi-hour job that prices above a screen. We explain it before quoting.

Will Face ID keep working after a new display?

Yes. We move the Face ID hardware from your original panel onto the new one. The only exception is a drop that destroyed it, which nobody can restore, and we test yours for free first.

Will you erase my phone?

No. Standard repairs never require touching your data and we do not wipe devices. The passcode is only so we can test the repair before giving it back.

Do you stock parts for the newest models?

We stock what moves and the newest generation moves quickly. If your part is not on hand we give you the arrival day at the counter so you can decide with real information.

Should I file a claim instead?

Possibly, and we will give you a straight opinion. We do handle insurance claim repairs, so raise it rather than guessing which route is cheaper.

Do I need to book a time?

No. Walk in any day we are open and the basic diagnostic is free whether or not you go ahead.
