Getting to Route 1 from Lynn

There are two normal ways west out of Lynn toward us. Western Avenue, which is Route 107, runs southwest out of the city toward Saugus. Essex Street runs west from the middle of Lynn toward Saugus Center. Either one puts you within a couple of minutes of Route 1, and from the Lynnway side it is usually faster to cut inland on one of those than to run south toward Revere first.

Once you reach Route 1, the only thing that matters is which side you land on. We are on the southbound side. If you come out onto the northbound side, keep going north and take the jughandle at Essex Street, which loops you back onto southbound, then come down to us. From most of Lynn, downtown, the Highlands, or up near Lynn Woods, figure 10 to 15 minutes depending on how the lights are behaving.

What Lynn brings through the door

Coastal cities have a repair profile and Lynn has it badly. Salt air is hard on charge ports, and a phone that spends its life going from a car to a job site to a beach walk collects corrosion in the port long before anything visible goes wrong. If your cable has started needing to be held at a particular angle, that is usually a port full of pocket lint and salt, not a dying phone.

The other Lynn constant is the school-age screen. Between Lynn Classical, Lynn English, and the middle schools, there is a steady stream of phones that went to the floor of a hallway, plus the North Shore Community College crowd showing up with laptops that will not hold a charge through a full day of classes.
