East across the Fells
From Main Street Stoneham or anywhere near the center, get onto the Lynn Fells Parkway heading east. It runs along past the Spot Pond side of the Middlesex Fells, through Melrose, and over toward Saugus, and it drops you near Route 1. Take Route 1 southbound and the store is next to the old 99 Restaurant. From most of Stoneham this is about 15 to 20 minutes, and it is a much nicer drive than anything involving a highway.
If you are on the north end of Stoneham near the Wakefield line, Route 128 is the backup option: run it north toward Peabody and come off at Route 1 southbound, which drops you in on our side automatically. It is the long way round, so it is only worth it when the parkway is fouled up. If you end up on Route 1 northbound, the fix is the jughandle at Essex Street, which loops you back down.
