REPAIR STATUS

Check your repair status. The link on your invoice, at any hour.

Left a device with us and want to know where it stands? Your invoice carries a tracking link tied to your ticket that shows received, in progress, waiting on a part, or ready for pickup, and it works at any hour. Calling the store works too, and we would rather answer than have you wonder.

Use the link on your invoice

When we take a device in, your invoice carries a tracking link tied to your specific ticket. Open it and it shows where the repair is: received, in progress, waiting on a part, or ready for pickup. That is the fastest way to check, it works at any hour, and you do not need to talk to anybody to use it.

If the invoice went to your email, search your inbox for it, and check the spam folder while you are there. If you took a paper copy, the link is printed on it.

Or just call the store

Calling works too, and we would rather answer than have you wonder. The store phone number is in the header and footer of every page on this site. Have your name or the phone number you gave us at drop-off ready, because that is how we find your ticket quickly.

One honest note about calling: if the shop is busy with customers at the counter, the phone occasionally takes a minute. We are not ignoring you. Every repair we do happens at a bench with people in front of it, and the person answering the phone is frequently the person holding a customer’s phone open on a mat.

What the timing usually looks like

Most common phone repairs, such as screens and batteries on models we stock, are about an hour at the bench. Those tend not to generate a status question at all, because people wait or run an errand on Route 1 and come back.

Tablets and laptops generally run one to three days, because adhesive, parts availability, and testing all take longer. Liquid damage work takes as long as it takes, since cleaning and drying a board properly cannot be rushed, and rushing it is how a device comes back to life for a week and then dies.

Console work, particularly board-level jobs like HDMI ports, usually runs three to seven days between parts and careful soldering. Anything that needs an ordered part depends on the part, and we tell you that at drop-off rather than letting you find out through silence.

If a repair is going to take longer than what we told you, we would rather call you than have you discover it. If something unexpected turned up inside the device, we call before we proceed, not after.

When you come to pick up

Bring the identification you gave us at drop-off, and test the device before you leave the counter. Genuinely, take the minute. Open the camera, make a call, use the touchscreen in all four corners, check the speaker and the microphone, and plug in a cable. If anything is not right, it is far easier to sort out while you are standing there.

You will leave with the Limited Lifetime Warranty on the part we installed and our workmanship. The warranty page spells out exactly where the line sits, and if something goes wrong later, you bring it back and we look at it at no charge.

FAQ

Common questions

Where is the tracking link kept?

On the invoice we gave you at drop-off. If it was emailed, search your inbox and check spam. If you have a paper copy, the link is printed on it.

I lost my invoice. Can you find my ticket anyway?

Yes. Your name or the phone number you gave us at drop-off is enough to find the ticket.

Do I get a call when the repair is done?

Yes. We contact you when the repair is complete. The tracker link is there so you can check in the meantime without waiting on us.

My repair is taking longer than you estimated. What happened?

Usually a part, or something we found once the device was open. Either way we would rather call you and explain than let the clock run quietly, and we do not proceed with unexpected work without asking first.

Can somebody else pick up my device?

Let us know in advance who is coming and have them bring identification. We are careful about handing devices to people, which is exactly what you would want if it were your phone.

What is worth testing before I walk out?

Camera, calls, speaker, microphone, charging, and touch response in all four corners. Two minutes at the counter is easier than a second trip down Route 1.
